Facebook guys had announced that chat feature will be released in coming weeks and yesterday on some event another facebook guy said that chat feature will be released next week but a minute ago when I logged into my facebook account and was checking email I noticed this ‘open facebook chat’ link on the top menu, it was not live and was not fitting into the menu, obviosly they are testing it or something but this is clearly sign that facebook chat is almost here.

It would be great if the integrate chat boxes at photo pages, sometimes you comment and you get notification that someone commented after you but it does not say if the comment was to you or to the photo but this feature could resolve that and many other little communication hassles on facebook. Actually it would add a huge value to facebook, think about it. What if they release desktop instant messenger? that would kill MSN messenger and others, everyone has almost all of their friends on facebook, may be more than you have on your existing IM.

Anyway, as I said, facebook chat feature is here, almost:)
